Reading a Resort Banquet Quote: What "Net" and "++" Actually Mean

VND 490,000 net and VND 699,000++ cannot be compared side by side — understand the arithmetic so the small print does not break your budget.

In a banquet quote, "net" means the final figure — service charge and tax already included; "++" means service charge and value-added tax are not yet included, adding roughly 15% on top of the listed price. A real example in Danang: Furama Resort publishes banquet menus from VND 490,000 net per guest, while Ariyana Convention Centre publishes from VND 699,000++ per guest — to compare them, you have to convert both to a final price.

The minimum guest count matters just as much as the unit price: Furama's VND 490,000 applies from 400 guests, Ariyana's VND 699,000++ from 500 guests. A smaller reception is still possible, but on a different quote — ask directly about the hall's minimum spend.

For an outdoor ceremony, the ceremony and the reception are usually priced separately: a complete ceremony on Furama's beach from VND 49,500,000++, a ceremony at Ariyana Beach Garden from VND 42,000,000++ — including floral arch, aisle and sound, but not catering. Add all three lines — ceremony, reception and accommodation — before you settle on a total budget.
