The airport is fifteen minutes from the beach and Hoi An is just over 20 km away — that geography only pays off if you schedule the transfers properly.
What makes Danang a sensible wedding destination for distant guests is distance: Danang International Airport — the country's third largest — sits only 6 to 8 km from the Bac My An beachfront resort strip, about fifteen minutes by car. The T2 international terminal operates direct flights to Seoul, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Singapore, Bangkok and Siem Reap, so relatives and friends abroad can usually fly direct rather than connecting through Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
Three things to do early. First, hold a room block the moment you sign the hall contract, with a dedicated booking code so guests can book themselves at the agreed rate — do not take on booking for each person yourself. Second, build a flight sheet: guest name, flight number, landing time; a 16-seater grouped by time window costs far less than individual transfers, and nobody stands waiting in the midday sun. Third, send a short information page in advance with the address, the room code, the dress code for a ceremony on sand (stiletto heels do not work there) and the phone number of one single coordinator.
Finally, make the most of the fact that your guests have already flown a long way: Hoi An's old town is only about 20 km south of the resorts and, since July 2025, has belonged to the city of Danang following the merger with Quang Nam. An afternoon in Hoi An the day before or after the wedding turns your guests' trip into a holiday — and that is the cheapest gift you can give them.
