We're marrying in Danang but I live in Saigon, and my ceremonial ao dai was tailored at home. Will it crease badly on the plane, and is there anywhere to have it steamed on arrival?
Ao dai for the family rite away from home — bring it or have it made there?

Roll it in a moisture-proof garment bag and keep it as hand luggage — never check it in. Send it to the resort laundry to be steamed a day ahead and it comes back like new; just be clear that it's silk.

Arrive two or three days early and try everything on the day you land. If something needs urgent altering, there's still time to find a tailor in central Danang, only 10 – 15 minutes from the resorts.
