About half our guests are flying in from Hanoi and Saigon. For a resort wedding, should we cover their rooms or let them book themselves? I'm worried the cost will run away.

    We covered rooms for grandparents and the older aunts and uncles only, and sent friends a group-rate link to book themselves. Furama has 198 rooms plus the villas, so the whole party can stay in one place — which saves an enormous amount of shuttling.

    Lock the room block in as soon as you confirm the hall — resorts fill fast on wedding-season weekends. Danang airport to the Vo Nguyen Giap strip is only about 15 minutes, so you won't need multi-leg transfers.
