An Nhien and Minh Quan chose mid-April — the middle of Danang's dry season — and set the ceremony for 16:30, when the light on Bac My An had just turned gold and the sea breeze had softened.
The Pearl Package aisle was built at the water's edge with a white floral arch and a petal-strewn walkway; 90 guests sat on white wooden chairs, with no large speakers — just a guitar and the sound of the waves.
Once the sun had gone, the whole party moved up to the Ocean Terrace just behind for dinner. The moment everyone still talks about is the champagne tower being poured exactly as the string lights came on.
